At the April meeting of the Madawaska Valley Horticultural Society, Eden Guidroz displayed the Society’s sandwich boards and posters which had been produced from paintings by members of the Opeongo Senior Centre Art Group. The posters helped to publicize the Society’s annual Flower and Vegetable Show held each summer. Guidroz thanked all the artists for allowing their images to be used by the Society, and recognized two of them who were in the audience: Faith Archer and Aleksandra Czapla. Liaison for the art group, Danielle Paul, accepted Guidroz’ thanks on behalf of the artists who were not present: Jasna Boyd, Dolly Brooks, Eva Kaczkowski and Alice Vermeer.
The Art Group meets at the Opeongo Senior Centre on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and welcomes new members.
