Madawaska Valley helps the Monarchs
MV residents in the geographic township of Jones are grateful to the Township of Madawaska Valley for delaying the annual roadside brush-cutting until after this year’s Monarch butterflies had hatched. The request from residents to delay cutting down milkweed plants was immediately accepted by CAO Suzanne Klatt and Operations Manager Hilary Kutchkoskie. As a result local families enjoyed the sight of many butterflies emerging in the last few weeks of summer.
