Barry’s Bay at 2 pm on Sunday, Feb.26: The Stationkeepers MV present ‘The Way We Were’ & The Yo-Yo Mamas. This lively presentation takes place at the old Barry’s Bay Railway Station. Several new video vignettes of The Way We Were, a heritage documentary currently in development will be shown, along with rousing renditions of traditional music by the Yo-Yo Mamas, the Madawaska Valley’s latest fiddling sensation. The Stationkeeper Singers will also be on hand. Afterwards, stay and browse the invigorating changes to YOUR Railroad Museum. Arrive on time as the event will be recorded for an Opeongo Line podcast with restricted access once the show begins.
Clarendon PQ from 6 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, Mar.4: Marc Audet’s Folklore Show presents ‘Forgotten Memories of the Ottawa Valley’ This evening of songs and stories about the history and heritage of the Ottawa Valley takes place at the Little Red Wagon Winery, 165 Chemin de Calumet O, Clarendon PQ. $10 and meal option available at 6 pm. Refresher First Aid/CPR: Killaloe from 9 am to 3:30 pm at on March 8 at the Lion’s Hall in Killaloe. (lunch included) Killaloe & District Senior Friendship Club advises that there are a couple of spots available for a Refresher First Aid/CPR course that will be paid for.
