Theft in Killaloe Hagarty Richard investigated
Police are currently investigating a theft from a vehicle.
On August 4, 2023, just after 1:00 p.m., police responded to a theft call for service on Kranz Road, in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards. The window of a parked vehicle was smashed, and a purse and personal contents were stolen.
Police are asking anyone with information surrounding this crime to contact the Killaloe OPP Detachment at 613-757-2600 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS. You could receive a cash reward of up to $2000.

MV resident charged after Barry’s Bay break and enter
Police are currently investigating a break and enter and have laid criminal charges.
On July 31, 2023, shortly after 2:00 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence on Dunn Street, in the Township of Madawaska Valley.
As a result of police investigation, 41-year-old Tivadar BASA of Madawaska Valley Township was arrested and charged with break and enter and theft, contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on September 13, 2023, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.

Assault charge laid
Police have charged one person with assault after a dispute.
On August 2, 2023, just before 5 :00 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault call at a residence in the Township of North Algona Wilberforce.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 60-year-old Daniela SARAZIN from Pikwakanagan Ontario First Nation with assault, contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused was released on conditions and will appear in court on September 13, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.
