I sure hope someone can come forward with some further information on this interesting-looking character. The photograph is inscribed “Deer Skin, Fire Ranger, Madawaska, Ont.” Someone told me that this man’s name is Richard Conroy, also known as Buckskin Dick, and that he was the first game warden in this district.
