Magic was in the air as 14 volunteers and one co-op student helped arrange more than 2,500 pieces of mail for the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s 2020 Tree of Lights Campaign. The annual Work Bee had helpers fold, check and stuff envelopes for the mail-out. Two groups worked in a socially-distanced environment at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 406 on November 4.
This year, the Foundation’s goal is to raise $70,000 for a new VAC Therapy Wound System, overbed tables and bedside chairs, as well as a critical upgrade to the medication dispensing unit. All of these items are crucial in a patient’s healing journey on the medical unit at St. Francis Memorial Hospital.
Those interested in Giving the Gift of Healing this Christmas until the end of December to donate. For more information on the campaign or to donate, please call the Foundation office at 613-756-3045 ext. 217.
Although the traditional tree lighting ceremony has been cancelled due to public healthcare directives, a Virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony will air on the Foundation’s Facebook Page. Make sure to ‘Like’ St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation on Facebook for regular updates on the Virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
