July at MV Public Library

There’s something for every member of the household at your Public Library this July. Children can enjoy stories on Tuesday mornings, send a favourite stuffie on a sleepover adventure, learn about different countries on World Wednesdays, be a Librarian for half an hour, and even win a prize for participating in the Library’s Around the World Book Club. Older kids can enjoy the Library’s Teen Night with their peers. Plus, the Library will be at Palmer Rapids Recreation Centre with free programming for BLR kids.

CHILDREN

The Stuffie Sleepover is back this weekend. (See image above.) Drop off your stuffie at the Library on Friday July 18, and collect it on Saturday July 19 to hear about all the adventures it had. Participants receive a Goodie Bag. To register, please email programs@madawaskavalleylibrary.ca or call 613-756-2000.

All summer long kids can learn how the Library works. Sign up to be a Librarian for half an hour, and learn to check books in/out and shelve books. This program is for school aged children 7+. Sign up by email or phone the Library.

Every Tuesday morning at 10:30am little ones can enjoy stories, songs and a craft-to-go at Zurakowski Park in Barry’s Bay. If it rains, Storytime will be held in the Library.

Kids can Travel Around the World and learn about other countries from community members every Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm at the Library. Enjoy stories, crafts and games.

On Thursday July 17th at 10:30am kids in BLR can enjoy FREE Library programming at the Palmer Rapids Recreation Centre. There will be stories, crafts and science activities; older kids can try out Fiero Coding. To ensure there are enough supplies for everyone, please pre-register with the Library by email to programs@madawaskavalleylibrary.ca or by phone at 613-756-2000. The next Library session in Palmer Rapids will be a Lego Challenge at 1:30pm on Aug.7th.
