Police locate driver hours after collision on Foymount Road
On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, shortly before 1:00 a.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision involving a pick-up truck on Foymount Road, near Donegal Road, in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.
Preliminary information suggests the pick-up truck left the roadway, and struck a rock cut. At the time of police arrival, police were unable to locate the driver, and began a search of the area. The OPP’s Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) aided in the search effort.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., the 17 year old driver from the Township of Bonnechere Valley was located safely by police at a hunt camp near Cormac Road. Renfrew County Ambulance is on scene and assessing the driver’s injuries, which are non-life threatening. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Impaired and threats charges laid
On Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at approximately 10:00 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation into an incident involving threats in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty, and Richards.
The complainant had driven to the police detachment, and as part of the investigation, the Roadside Screening Device was used, which resulted in the driver undergoing further testing. As a result of this investigation, 62 year old Nathan GOGOLIN of the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle While Having Over 80 mgs of Alcohol per 100 ml of Blood;
- Utter Threats – Damage To Property; and,
- Utter Threats – Cause Death Or Bodily Harm.
The accused was released on conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle towed and impounded.

Traffic complaint leads to impaired charges
On Sunday, May 30, 2021 at approximately 11:25 a.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint involving a pick-up truck on Highway 41 in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.
Police located the vehicle, and as part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized. The driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. As a result of this investigation, 32 year old Derek DOMBROSKIE of the Township of Bonnechere Valley was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle While Having Over 80 mgs of Alcohol per 100 ml of Blood.
The accused was further charged with Drive While Under Suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused was released on conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The accused received a 90-day licence suspension, and the vehicle was towed and impounded.
