Combermere quilters support local hospice palliative care

Submitted by the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation

Several quilters came up with a unique fundraiser over the winter months, while creating a social club for themselves and the men who joined them.  Since September of last year, several women met every Tuesday morning to create a quilt. They decided to serve light refreshments, and the men paid a nominal fee to enjoy the snacks while socializing. In total, the quilters raised $500, which was donated to the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation for hospice palliative care services in the community.
