Drug bust at Renfrew home

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has seized a variety of illegal drugs from a home in Renfrew.

Officers from the Street Crime Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant on October 1, 2020 at a home on Ross Street.

Officers seized quantities of suspected fentanyl powder and patches, dilaudid pills, cocaine, hydromorphone pills, hashish, shatter and cannabis, as well as nearly $22,000 in currency and items typically associated with drug trafficking. One person was arrested at the location, while a search continues for a second individual.

Tyler Elliot MOORE, age 39 of Pembroke has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) – sec. 5(2) – four counts
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance – CDSA sec. 4(1)
  • Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling – Cannabis Act sec. 10(2)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 – Criminal Code (CC) sec. 354(1)(a)
  • Fail to comply with a Probation Order – CC sec. 733.1(1)

The accused was held in custody and scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on October 2, 2020.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 56-year old woman on similar charges.
