Kudos to Junior Boys Volleyball Team
Congratulations to the Junior Boys Volleyball Team on a superb season. The boys won the regular season 8-1 which allowed them the opportunity to host the playoffs at Madawaska Valley District High School (MVDHS). They went on to win all of their tournament games on November 7th — at home — placing them first in the County! Their success stirred up a lot of excitement at MVDHS. The boys then went to play at Eastern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (EOSSA) in Elgin and made it to the semi-finals on November 13, but were unfortunately defeated by a Kingston team. The boys placed third overall at EOSSA. Students hold Food Drive for Madawaska Valley Food Bank
Students from both MVDHS and Sherwood Public School collected food items for the food bank. This year’s Food Drive was quite successful and the students were able to donate quite a few boxes of food. (Photo Julia Beggs)
