Madawaska Valley reverts to Level One Fire Ban on June 22

Madawaska Valley Fire Chief Corwin Quade advises that the municipality will implement a Level One Fire Ban commencing at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Under the provisions of a Level One Fire Ban, campfires are allowed at night/evenings only. Quade says that no fires are allowed in the Village of Barry’s Bay, and no burn permits will be issued.

Editor’s note: Burning of brush is prohibited under a Level One Fire Ban. MV residents may drop off residential brush during regular waste site hours free of charge until June 30 at the Bark Lake Waste Site, 21956 Hwy 60 or at Yard 2, 39844 Combermere Road.
