OPP lay charges of assault with a weapon and threats
On Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at approximately 4: 30 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault at a residence on Palmer Road, in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.
As a result of police investigation, 63 year old Gomer GIZMO of Palmer Rapids, has been arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon, and Utter Threats, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was released on conditions with a court date of Wednesday January 13, 2021, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The victim was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released.
Impaired charge laid following OPP investigation of collision
On Thursday, December 10, 2020, at approximately 6:10 pm, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle rollover collision involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) on Schutt Road, in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.
As part of the investigation, a Roadside Screening Device was used, which resulted in the driver being transported to the police detachment for further testing. As a result of police investigation, 36 year old Christine SELLERS of Petawawa has been charged with Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was released on an appearance notice, and is scheduled to appear in court, Wednesday, December 23, 2020, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.
The licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle towed.
