Previous experience in an earlier workshop is not required to participate.
Join Linda Archibald and Anya Gansterer to play with collage and assemblage. We’ll be exploring themes of change, and having fun with textiles!
In this workshop we will create a collage using a variety of natural and manufactured textures. It’s a hands on way of thinking about and symbolically arranging and rearranging pieces of our lives in this fast-paced and changing world. In addition to selecting from a wide variety of coloured and textured fabrics, we have burlap, leather, lace, screening, birchbark, and more.
Embellish with twigs, acorns, buttons, bits of found metal, washers, old keys, ribbon, hemp, and more. Join the bits and pieces together by gluing, sewing, weaving, tying, wrapping, or wiring. If you like, bring something from home to include in your collage.
All ages and genders are welcome. Materials and snacks are provided.
