OPP investigating serious collision

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the assistance of an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator is investigating a fatal, single motor vehicle collision.

On May 15, 2021, shortly before 4:00 p.m., UOV officers, along with Renfrew County paramedics responded to a report of a vehicle laying on its side just before Dorran Road off of Highway 17. A male driver, aged 47 years old from Pembroke, was the lone occupant. He was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The identification of the driver will not be released at this time.
