Olympic gold comes to Barry’s Bay

Team Jacobs members E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden

Team Jacobs, 2014 Sochi Olympic Gold Medallists, visited Barry’s Bay on August 1 during a Digital Days tour of Northern Credit Union branches in the Ottawa Valley. Branch manager Lynn Beauchamp explained the Digital Days event is designed to give members hands-on insight to the benefits of online banking, Northern’s mobile branch and loyalty apps, online financial management tools and more.

Team Jacobs’ member E.J. Harnden is Northern’s Director of Channel Engagement/Marketing and works to improve their online products. He explained,

It’s a very welcoming, open house type of atmosphere. We aligned Digital Days with the Team Jacobs tour so people can also meet the team, take some pictures and have a fun day for everyone. For me it’s great because here I get to see the execution and how the members are reacting.

E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden were gracious with staff and visitors, posing for photos and answering questions. They spent plenty of time with the kids who wanted autographs and a photo with their curling heroes.
