Killaloe OPP news as of Jan. 28

During the week of January 21, 2019 to January 27, 2019 there were 85 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.

  • There were fifteen motor vehicle collisions, six were animal related.
  • There were three domestic disputes, and two domestic disputes resulting in criminal code charges.

 

Domestic Breach of Probation Charges

On Monday January 21, 2019 at approximately 12:06 p.m. members of the Killaloe OPP detachment responded to a domestic call at a residence in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. As a result of police investigation, a 40-year-old male from Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Twp. was arrested and charged with Breach of Probation Order conditions, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was held pending a bail court hearing, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

 

Domestic Breach, Assault, and Mischief Charges

On Tuesday January 22, 2019 at approximately 9:14 p.m. Whitney OPP Constable Mike Holbrook and Sgt Mark MacKisoc responded to a domestic disturbance call at a residence in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. As a result of police investigation a 46-year-old male from Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. was arrested and charged with Domestic Breach of Probation Order conditions, Assault and Mischief. The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice Pembroke. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

 

Collision

On Thursday January 24, 2019 at approximately 5:02 p.m. Killaloe OPP Constable Kyle Fabian responded to a single vehicle collision involving a snow mobile on the E 109 Trail, Madawaska Valley Twp. A 16-year-old male from Madawaska Valley Twp. sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance. No charges laid. No tow required.

 

Liquor Licence Act Charges

On Sunday January 27, 2019 at approximately 6:18 p.m. Killaloe OPP Constable Ryan Szczygiel was conducting snow mobile patrol on the B102 Trail, Madawaska Valley Twp. A 52-year-old male from Ottawa was charged with Having Liquor in Open Container contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. The defendant was issued a Provincial Offence Act notice.

 

Suspended Driving Charge

On Thursday January 24, 2019 at approximately 10:37 a.m. Killaloe OPP Constable Ryan Lapierre conducted a traffic stop on a sport utility vehicle (SUV) on Combermere Road, Madawaska Valley Twp. As a result of police investigation, 31-year-old Leonard PAUZE of Madawaska Valley Twp. was charged with Suspended Driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a summons to appear in court.
