Killaloe OPP weekly report Mar.18-24

During the week of March 18 – March 24, 2019 there were 78 calls for service for the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), including the Whitney Detachment.

  • There were four motor vehicle collisions, all of which were animal related.
  • There were five domestic disputes and two domestic disputes which resulted in criminal code charges.

Domestic Threats and Mischief Charges

On Wednesday March 20, 2019 at approximately 9:40 a.m. members of the Killaloe OPP detachment responded to a domestic disturbance at residence in Bonnechere Valley Township. As a result of police investigation, a 43 year old male from Bonnechere Valley Township was arrested and charged with Utter Threat and Mischief contrary the Criminal Code. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Wednesday April 24, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Domestic Mischief, Theft and Dangerous Operation Charges

On Sunday March 24, 2019 at approximately 4: 50 a.m. members the Killaloe OPP detachment responded to a domestic disturbance at residence in Bonnechere Valley Township. As a result of police investigation, a 30 year old male from Admaston Bromley Township was arrested and charged with Mischief x 2, Theft and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Criminal Code.   The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Wednesday April 24, 2019 at 9:30 am, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Breach of Probation Charges

On Sunday March 24, 2019 at approximately 11:30 a.m. members of the Killaloe OPP detachment located a male who was wanted on the strength of a warrant. The male identified as 25 year old Brandon LAMOUREAUX of Bonnechere Valley Township was further charged with Breach of Probation x 2, for failing to abide by court imposed conditions contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was held pending a bail court hearing on Monday March 25, 2019 at 9: 30 a.m. Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke.

 

Update: OPP suspicious death investigation

On February 12 The Current reported that the OPP was conducting an investigation into the death of Barry’s Bay resident, Sylvester Glysinskie. Click HERE for that report.
