OPP Killaloe report week of April 1 to 7

During the week of April 1 to April 7, 2019 there were 86 calls for service for the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), including the Whitney Detachment.

  • There were seven motor vehicle collisions, six were animal related.
  • There was one domestic dispute, which did not result in criminal code charges.

Breach of Recognizance Charge

On Thursday April 4, 2019 at approximately 4: 45 p.m. members of the Killaloe OPP detachment responded to a complaint of an intoxicated person on Dunn Street, Madawaska Valley Township. As a result of police investigation, 48 year old Trina WHITE of Madawaska Valley Township was arrested and charged with Breach of Recognizance conditions, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Wednesday April 24, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.

Traffic Stop leads to Drivers Licence Suspension

On Saturday April 6, 2019 at approximately 11:45 a.m. members of the Killaloe OPP detachment conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car on Green Ridge Road, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township. The 51 year old female driver had been drinking, and registered a warn on the roadside approved screening device. The driver was issued a three day drivers licence suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic.

Suspicious death investigation

The Current contacted the OPP Smith Falls on April 8 and was advised that the investigation into Sylvester Glysinskie’s death is ongoing.
