OPP Upper Ottawa Valley seek your assistance

On April 11, 2019 at approximately 7:30 p.m. members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault complaint at a food service business in the 100 block of Pembroke Street East in the City of Pembroke. Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify an adult female in the attached photos who is a person of interest in this case. The female is described as follows:

  • Late 20’s to early 30’s in age, 5ft 4″ to 5ft 6″, small to average build,
  • Wearing a dark jacket and dark jeans
  • Long reddish brown hair

The female was pushing a three-wheeled jogging stroller with a silver and black frame.

OPP Killaloe Detachment news as of April 29

During the week of April 23 to April 28, 2019 there were 103 calls for service for the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), including the Whitney Detachment.

  • There were fifteen motor vehicle collisions; seven were animal related.
  • There were no domestic disputes reported.

 

Road Barricades, Flooding Issues

Roads in many areas have given away and caused washouts resulting in road closures. Locally, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township have reported incidents of road closure barricades being removed or displaced. Please do not attempt to cross over these areas, remove or tamper with barricades or drive through the water as there is no way to tell the condition of the roadway. A vehicle could get stuck or submerged placing you at risk. Police remind drivers that removing the barricades placed for your safety could result in Highway Traffic Act charges for signage removal, or criminal charges of mischief. Drive Safely.

 

Collisions

On Friday April 26, 2019 at approximately 1:25 p.m., Killaloe OPP responded to a two vehicle collision involving a passenger car and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) on Bay Street, Madawaska Valley Township. As a result of police investigation, 66 year old Janna KEELING of Deep River has been charged with Fail To Yield To Through Traffic, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a Provincial Offences Act notice. No tow required, and no injuries.

On Saturday April 27, 2019 at approximately 3: 30 p.m., Killaloe OPP responded to a single vehicle collision involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) that was towing a utility trailer on Highway 60, Algonquin Provincial Park. As a result of police investigation, 63 year old Claude LOYER of Temiscaming Quebec has been charged with Careless Driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a Provincial Offences Act notice. The vehicle was towed. There were no injuries.

 

Stunt Driving Charge

On Friday April 26, 2019 at approximately 6: 00 p.m., Killaloe OPP conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck on Highway 60, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township for speeding. As a result of police investigation 24 year old Brandon BEDARD-BRUNETTE of Laurentian Valley has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle Perform Stunt, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a summons to appear in court. The licence was seized and the vehicle towed and impounded for seven days.
