Many of our readers reach The Current’s online news website through links via social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). But we know there are also Valley residents who only use social media sporadically, if at all. In recognition of this, The Current today launches an email newsletter for readers who have registered their email addresses with us. The newsletter contains links to some of our recent articles so they can enjoy The Current’s much-praised, free coverage of Valley news.
Why now?
For the past week newspapers across Canada have celebrated National Newspaper Week. Its theme has been “Newspapers matter now more than ever.” With that in mind, The Current’s owners decided to take steps to increase its readership across the Valley and beyond.
What do you need to do?
If you would like to receive our newsletters every two weeks, please enter your name and email address in the section below entitled Leave a Reply. Feel free to tell your friends and family members who, among other things, will no doubt enjoy seeing Sharon Gardiner’s fabulous fall photos of the Valley. Of course, if you wish you can unsubscribe at any time and every newsletter provides a link for this. As always we welcome your feedback as we want to ensure The Current brings you the community news you want.
Keeping it free and flowing
Support from our advertisers allows us to continue to provide a free online and print news source to the community, so future newsletters will include ads which we limit to Valley businesses as we chose not to monetize our website with ads from Google. We welcome the opportunity to discuss how The Current can help you grow your business whether you want to advertise online, in print, in newsletters, or any combination. We’re sure you will find our rates attractive. Just email madvalleycurrent@gmail.com for details or call us at 613.639.1524 and we’ll be happy to answer any questions.
