Gallant retains seat with increased majority

According to ElectionsCanada.ca with 100 percent of polls having reported, incumbent Cheryl Gallant has been re-elected with an increased majority in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke (R-N-P). She received 52.7 percent of the vote compared to 45.83 percent at the last election. Voter turnout in R-N-P was 57,506 of 86,010 registered electors (66.86 percent). This figure does not include electors who registered on election day.

The national results for leading or elected seats as provided by Elections Canada are as follows:

LIB 157 | CON 121 | BQ 32 | NDP 24 | Other 4 || Total 338

Popular vote:

LIB 33.1% | CON 34.4% | BQ 7.7% | NDP 15.9% | Other 8.9% || Total 100.0%

With 170 seats required for a majority, this means we have a Liberal Minority Government.
