Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment have today confirmed that they continue to search for missing 17-year-old Pembroke male, Tyson YAKABUSKIE (known to also use the surname LEMAIRE). Photo above Provincial Constable Shawn Peever today told The Current that the OPP investigation remains active and ongoing. He asked that “the public keep it in their mind as time goes on because he was last known to be seen in late October.”
Peever said, “The investigators are looking at anything that comes in…. We’re certainly still soliciting any information [that] the public might have [and ask that they] call us and let us know so that we can investigate. It is active and ongoing and there’s no indication that he may have returned home; that’s not the case.”
As previously reported in The Current, Yakabuskie, age 17, was last seen on foot on MacKay Street in Pembroke on Monday October 28, 2019 at approximately 1:00 p.m. He was reported missing to police on November 11, 2019.
Yakabuskie is described as:
- 6’2 tall, 130lbs with a slim build
- Short brown hair with a blonde streak at the front
- Was wearing grey jeans, brown jacket, red ECHO hoodie, red shoes with white soles and black laces
