Dear Editor,
Came across your paper on the internet by accident (now on my bookmarks). Love some of your articles and old photos. I am interested to see more history of the area and residents. Currently, I am trying to put together articles on “Cybulski’s”. Wonder if you would be able to feature something surrounding them — Cybulski dairy, garage, etc. as well as Cybulski’s in Killaloe, etc.
Shall be checking in and hope to see old history! I feel newspapers are the ones keeping history alive by reporting news that someday will be good reference material!
Thanks,
Barbara Dombroskie
Editor’s Note: Local heritage organizations may be able to offer information, such as Wilno Heritage Society, Barry’s Bay Heritage Society Genealogical Group, Upper Ottawa Valley Genealogical Society, Madawaska Valley Public Library, Killaloe Public Library. For example, the photo above of Frank G. Cybulskie’s General Store in Barry’s Bay (from heritagewalk.ca/barrysbay) may cite a shared name not relevant to this reader’s research. Please reply in the comments section below if you can assist.
IN 1955 I WORKED NEXT DOOR IN pALUBETSKI’S WITH Leanard and Stanley –it was my aunt’s store
My Grandpa’s store!
There are sooooo many Cybulski’s in the area that could assist!!! My husband’s mother was one!!!
Thank you so much for the Cybulski garage article. This is precisely what I am looking for. Also thank you for leads on where to do more research. Keep up the interesting articles.
