February is National Parent Leadership Month

Family and Children’s Services of Renfrew County’s Parents Anonymous program is proud to celebrate National Parent Leadership Month in February – honouring the significant role parents play in shaping the lives of children and their families. Along with hundreds of Parents Anonymous Inc. accredited organizations worldwide, Parents Anonymous Renfrew County is choosing to recognize parents across our community with a variety of fun, family-focused and free events – from free skates and swims to bowling and sign nights. We are also inviting community members to join us in honouring the parents they know whose contributions to their families make an important difference at https://www.facebook.com/ParentsAnonymousRC/.

“National Parent Leadership Month is an opportunity for not only Parents Anonymous Renfrew County to recognize the dedication and commitment of parents, but our Renfrew County communities as well,” says Stephanie Belaire, Parents Anonymous Facilitator. “Parenting is not an easy task – it can be the most physically, emotionally and mentally challenging role. And we want parents and caregivers to know that the important role they play does not go unnoticed.”

Honour a Renfrew County Parent or Caregiver

If you have or know a parent or caregiver who has made a positive difference in the life of their family or community, Parents Anonymous Renfrew County invites you to honour them by sharing a photo and some words to help us celebrate this amazing individual. Please see “Honour a Renfrew County Parent or Caregiver” event on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ParentsAnonymousRC/) to submit. Parents Anonymous will then be putting a social spotlight on these individuals for our community to celebrate as well.
