During the week of February 10 – February 17, 2020, there were 97 calls for service for the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), including the Whitney Detachment.
- There were twelve motor vehicle collisions, of which nine were animal related.
- There were eight domestic disputes, two of which resulted in Criminal Code charges.
Domestic Assault, Sexual Assault, Mischief Charges
On Tuesday February 11, 2020 at approximately 11:55 a.m., Killaloe OPP investigated a domestic related call that occurred at a residence in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township. As a result of police investigation, a 25-year old-was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault, Sexual Assault and Mischief, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke, and later released on an Undertaking with conditions. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
Domestic Breach of Undertaking Conditions
On Friday February 14, 2020 at approximately 12: 50 p.m., Killaloe OPP responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in South Algonquin Township. As a result of police investigation, a 61-year-old from South Algonquin Township was arrested and charged with Breach of Undertaking Conditions, contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused was held pending a bail court hearing, Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
