On May 19 Renfrew County and District Health Unit released an updated COVID-19 Case Summary. The death toll in the area remains at just one, but the number of confirmed cases has now increased to 23. This is up four cases from 5 p.m. Friday as the long weekend began. No patients are currently hospitalized or in ICU, but eight cases are in self-isolation. The breakdown of confirmed cases is shown on the chart below. A new category, “deployed military,” appears on today’s summary.
