This morning the publisher, who is not American, received an email from “Donald J. Trump.” It was an invitation to become a member of the “Trump 100 Club.” It states, “I have only selected 100 patriots in the entire nation to join this prestigious club and YOU are one of them.” It contained the image of a Trump plaque (see above) — readers may recognize its likeness to others used in Trump enterprises such as Trump University (that did not end too well for him), Trump Steaks, Trump Wine, Trump Neckties, etc. Click HERE to see the full text of the invitation. Readers will also observe that this opportunity “to be remembered for years to come” is a “limited time offer” expiring at 11:59 p.m. TONIGHT, failing which “it will be released to the next patriot on the list.” Did we hear somebody mention the Shopping Channel?
At first it was thought to be a phishing email so that anybody foolish enough to send money would likely live to regret it. However, investigation has proved otherwise as it is a genuine solicitation organized on behalf of Trump by a conservative news agency called TownHall Media. If you take up the offer you are linked to the Republican National Committee donation page which will gladly accept your contribution.
The publisher was minded to reply in some derisive fashion (Canadian style) but, upon reflection, decided to throw it open to suggestions from our readers. (We have the BEST readers!) So this is a “limited time” invitation to participate in The Current’s first online contest. You are invited to submit your own suggested (humorous) reply. Entries will be judged by Mark Woermke and the winner will receive a Trump-themed prize.
The deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m. Tuesday June 9 and the winning entry will be published the following Friday.

Mind boggling, they will not easily rid themselves of this man, even if the nation comes to its senses and votes him out. There are far too many like-minded individuals, hence this patriot invitation so that ‘you’ can send him money to win the next election.
