Residents lobby MV Council about Chippawa Shores development

Last March The Current reported on the formation of a residents’ group opposed to the re-zoning of the Chippawa Shores development because of environmental and safety concerns. Click HERE to read.

At a special council meeting (originally set for June 16 but now scheduled to take place on July 7) Madawaska Valley Township will consider the sale of the Shoreline Road Allowance (SRA) along the Madawaska River associated with the proposed development. FMW have concerns about the sale of the SRA which they expressed in the following Open Letter to Council, copied to local media.
