Total Fire Ban now in effect in Madawaska Valley

As of 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, the Township of Madawaska Valley has imposed a Total Fire Ban in the municipality. This means no open flames of any sort are allowed, including:

  • no campfires
  • no charcoal barbecues
  • no burning of brush
  • no fireworks

Everyone has a responsibility to help prevent fires by observing the Total Fire Ban. Please stay aware of the current fire ban status. MV Fire Chief posts fire ban levels on the municipal website www.madawaskavalley.ca and on Facebook/ Madawaska Valley, as well as on the many roadside Fire Ban signs throughout the municipality.
