The Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be taking part in a national four-day traffic safety initiative dubbed Operation Impact over the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Operation Impact is a Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) led traffic safety campaign that targets aggressive, distracted and alcohol/drug-impaired driving as well as seat belt non-compliance. Over the long weekend, the Killaloe OPP will be highly visible supporting the campaign throughout the detachment area, ensuring drivers are doing their part to keep themselves, their passengers and those with whom they share the road safe. Motorists are advised to cut the distractions, buckle up, obey the posted speed limits and arrive alive – drive sober, in order to make this holiday weekend a safe one for all road users.
