Catch The Ace progressive jackpot could top $160,000
Last Thursday Jennifer Bamford of Barry’s Bay won the Week #41 Weekly Prize of $5,518 in St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Catch The Ace lottery. Her favourite number, seven, revealed the Nine of Spades so the lottery continues with weekly draws until someone’s ticket finds the Ace of Spades. The Weekly Prize for Week #42 is estimated at $5,412.00 and if the Ace of Spades is found next Thursday, the Total Winnings will be around $164,589. The progressive jackpot keeps on growing; the photo below was taken just over a week ago. Catch The Ace is a win/win for all of us as all proceeds support Valley Manor Redevelopment.

The $5 tickets can be purchased at the following locations: Round Lake Centre, AJ’s Convenience, Killaloe Hardware, Wilno Building Supply, Ramona’s Hair Salon, Charlie D’s, Barry’s Bay MacEwen, Lorraine’s Pharmasave, Barry’s Bay Shell, CO Country Market, and The Cottage Cup, Conway’s Pharmacy, Eganville Shell and Village Discount & Variety.

Time to show Wilno some love!
Friends of Wilno Rink
The Wilno Rink has not been able to fundraise/rent out/use the rink in the usual ways to generate revenue due to COVID-19. They ask that, if it does not cause undue hardship, you might consider paying your annual dues/membership now of $35/family for the 2020-2021 season to assist with sustaining Wilno Rink. Whether you are an active user, a friend or a community supporter, your assistance is greatly appreciated! Please send payment by e-transfer to wilnorink@gmail.com or just email wilnorink@gmail.com and Joanne Plebon can collect.
Wilno Heritage Society
The Wilno Heritage Park was open for visiting family units in July and August. Covid cancelled the May festival, Spring Newsletter, July 1st Family Day and all larger gatherings at the museum/park for the year, as well as a movie night in July and two Summer Friday evening music concerts. Many people did not have an opportunity to renew their 2020 membership in person. Or perhaps a Gift Membership would be a great Christmas present. Click HERE for an Order Form on the Society’s Facebook page.
