Congratulations to St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Week #45 Catch the Ace Lottery winner Bob Sheard of Barry’s Bay who took home $7,024 last Thursday. Envelope #24 revealed the Five of Diamonds, which means the Ace lives on for another Week when the Weekly Prize for Week #46 is estimated at $6,574.00 and if the Ace of Spades is found, the Total Winnings will be around $205,958.00!!  All proceeds support Valley Manor Redevelopment.

Barry’s Bay Recreation Committee seeks parade floats

BBRC plans a Drive-through Christmas Parade in Madawaska Valley on Sunday, Dec.20 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. MV Council approved use of the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre parking lot for the event. Parade-goers can vote for their favourites and the float entry fee of $5 (minimum donation) goes towards prizes. Email float entries for the Stationary Christmas Parade to bbrcmail@gmail.com with your float theme, trailer length and contact details. Entry deadline Thursday, Dec.10.

Remember to email Madawaska Valley Recreation and Community Development Coordinator Stephanie Plebon with a photo and address of the outdoor decorations at your home or business to join in the MV Holiday Lights Tour between Dec. 14 and 20.
