MV Lions’ donation helps with transport to vaccination clinics

In another great example of how local non-profit organizations are partnering for the benefit of our community, Madawaska Valley Lions have donated $500 to Barry’s Bay and Area Home Support (BBAHS) to assist with driving seniors to their COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Above from left: Lions James Currins, Ed Quesnelle, and Bob Archambault presenting cheque to Joanne King CEO of BBAHS, MV Lion Bill Schroeder, and Amanita Zadra-Brotton BBAHS Transportation Coordinator. If you live in the BBAHS service area

BBAHS provides support to seniors and physically challenged residents of Madawaska Valley; Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards; South Algonquin; and Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan. If this describes your situation and you need transportation assistance to get to your vaccination appointment, please call BBAHS at 613-756-2772 Ex. 1. Remember to call BBAHS well in advance of your appointment booking.

For residents of other municipalities in Renfrew County & District
