OPP Killaloe Detachment

Serious collision on Opeongo Road investigated: On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision, involving two pickup trucks near Constant Lake Road, in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.

A westbound pickup truck crossed the path of an eastbound pickup truck on Opeongo Road. The 92 year old driver of the westbound pickup truck from Eganville, was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. The 59 year old driver of the eastbound pickup truck from Horton  Township was taken to hospital by ORNGE with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have charged the 92 year old driver from Eganville with Turn-Not In Safety, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The driver was issued a Provincial Offences Act notice. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.


Killaloe OPP investigate ATV collision: On Saturday, May 8, 2021, at approximately 11:25 a.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision involving an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) off of Highway 523, approximately 4 km into the bush area between Madawaska Road and Lyell Lake Landing.

The 70 year old ATV operator from Gooderham sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ORNGE. The collision remains under investigation.


Break and Enter at youth camp: On Friday, May 7, 2021, members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter to a youth camp garage on Highway 28, in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.

Police believe the garage to have been entered into sometime between April 30, 2021 and May 7, 2021. An outboard motor, chainsaw, and a crossbow were reported stolen.

You could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000. All tips are confidential, and you will  not have to attend court.
