OPP investigate fatal accident in Bonnechere Valley

On Thursday, May 20, 2021 at approximately 11:05 a.m. officers from the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision involving an SUV and a motorcycle on Highway 41, near Wentland Road, in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.

Investigation has revealed the SUV collided with the on-coming motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital by ambulance where the driver later succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision. The 55 year old driver of the SUV from Bonnechere Valley Township was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 77 year old Simon LEGREE of Perth, Ontario. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of this collision. Further information will be shared when available.
