Regional Relief and Recovery Fund now REOPENED

Renfrew County Community Futures Development Fund announced on June 14 that applications are now being accepted for the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF). The fund provides financial contributions (interest-free loans) to help support fixed operating costs of SMEs, where business revenues have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to provide targeted assistance to the small towns and communities they serve, RCCFDC will focus on assisting sole proprietorship “main street” businesses, such as retail shops, restaurants, corner stores, and businesses of strategic importance to their communities, with loans up to $40,000.

Madawaska Valley Food Bank

Next session is Tuesday, June 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 8 Martin Street, Barry’s Bay. ALL CLIENTS MUST WEAR MASKS. Upon arrival, NO EARLIER THAN 8:30 am, clients will be asked to form a line with their vehicles in the parking lot opposite the food bank. PLEASE ENTER THE PARKING LOT (between Afelskie’s and the Ear Depot) FROM DUNN STREET, NOT MARTIN STREET. As usual, volunteers will direct traffic. Clients are asked to stay in their vehicles. Each client will be asked, from a safe distance, for their name and household number (verified by a paper list) and then a prepackaged box and bags of perishable food will be placed in the back of their vehicles. NEW CLIENTS ARE WELCOME and will be registered on-site. People walking will be accommodated as they arrive. Please consider staggering your arrivals to avoid congestion. There is no advantage to arriving early.


Canada Army Run 2021 (Virtual)
