Bonnechere Valley woman dead, three children injured in rollover collision

On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at approximately 3:55 p.m. members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious single vehicle collision on Foymount Road, near Opeongo Road, in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.

Investigation has revealed the driver of the pick-up truck was travelling eastbound on Foymount Road and lost control, resulting in a rollover collision. The Bonnechere Valley Fire Department assisted on scene to extricate the driver from the vehicle. Renfrew County Ambulance assisted in transporting one eleven year old passenger and one six year old passenger to hospital with minor injuries. A second six year old passenger was airlifted to hospital by ORNG with serious injuries.

The driver, 38 year old Jasmyn GOULET from Bonnechere Valley, was pronounced deceased at the scene. All persons within the vehicle were from Bonnechere Valley.

Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.  Police closed the portion of Foymount Road between McCauley Mountain Road and Opeongo Road for approximately five hours to facilitate the investigation. This is the third fatal collision investigated by the Killaloe OPP in 2021.
