Break and enter to Combermere Road seasonal property

On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at approximately 6:15 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter to a seasonal property on Combermere Road in the Township of Madawaska Valley.

Entry was gained through a rear window sometime between December 23, 2021 and December 28, 2021. Nothing was reported stolen. The Forensic Identification Unit (FIS) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Killaloe OPP detachment at 613 -757 -2600, or Pembroke/ Renfrew County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or at www.valleytips.ca. You could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.

Gunns Road cottage break and enter

On Monday, December 20, 2021, at approximately 2:20 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter to a cottage on Gunns Road in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards.

Entry was gained through a screened-in porch between November 9, 2021 and December 19, 2021. Nothing was reported stolen.

Festive R.I.D.E. program report

The Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) participated in the OPP 2021/22 Festive R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Diving Everywhere) campaign, which began on November 18, 2021 and concluded January 3, 2022.

The Killaloe OPP Detachment conducted 103 RIDE checks throughout the detachment area, and issued 2 warn range alcohol suspensions. Killaloe OPP report that drivers were in compliance, with no impaired operation or over 80 mgs charges laid.

While the Festive R.I.D.E. campaign has concluded, Killaloe OPP will continue conducting R.I.D.E. initiatives throughout the detachment area year round.

Killaloe OPP thank community members for their continued cooperation in making our roads safe for all to travel on.
