Letter to the Editor:

The Canadian Cancer Society’s (CCS) Wheels of Hope has been serving people in Ontario for more than 70 years, thanks to incredible volunteer drivers who share their compassion, generosity, and spirit with others.

The program relies on these volunteer drivers who have been giving thousands of rides to those in Sudbury so they can get to and from their cancer care.

Now, the Canadian Cancer Society is in need of volunteer drivers in and around Renfrew County. If you’re looking to fill some time in your day, love to drive and want to do something that helps people with cancer, please consider volunteering for Wheels of Hope.  As a volunteer driver, you can give the gift of a ride to people with cancer in Sudbury who need help getting to and from their cancer care.

Join us today for a rewarding volunteer opportunity will make a difference for the 2 in 5 Canadians who will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.   If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver, contact the Canadian Cancer Society at 1-888-939-3333 or visit cancer.ca/volunteer today.
