Multiples charges laid against BLR resident

The Killaloe OPP Detachment has laid several criminal charges in relation to a recent weapons call.

On November 2, 2022, just before 5:30 p.m. police responded to a weapons call for service on Schutt Road, in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 75-year-old Johannes WYNIA of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
  • unauthorized possession of a weapon;
  • assault;
  • break and enter; and,
  • mischief to property under $5000 (two counts).

The accused remains in custody.

Killaloe OPP investigate mischief to snowmobile trail signs

Killaloe OPP is investigating a mischief to property incident involving the removal of motorized snow vehicle signs.

On November 4, 2022, shortly after 12:30 p.m., police responded to a mischief call, in the Township of Madawaska Valley. Several signs on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs, (OFSC) B102 trail had been pulled from the trail and left on the ground.

Incident in MV leads to assault, breach charges

Police have laid criminal charges resulting from an altercation.

On November 4, 2022, shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of an assault on Stamplecoski Trail in the Township of Madawaska Valley.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 25-year-old Edward BRENNAN from Sarnia with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • assault; and,
  • breach of undertaking conditions.

The accused was released on conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court on December 14, 2022, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe.
