The Renfrew County Crime Unit and members of the Killaloe OPP are currently investigating a homicide and are warning members of the public regarding a safety risk posed by the suspect.
On January 25, 2023, shortly before 9:00 p.m., police responded to a 911 call at a residence, in the Township of Bonnechere Valley. One person was located deceased.
Police are seeking a warrant for the arrest of 18-year-old Trey GAGNON of Laurentian Valley Township, for the Criminal Code offence of Second-Degree Murder. Photo and description above (submitted).
The wanted person may be operating a 2022 black four-door Honda Civic, with an Ontario plate of CHTE 185. If this person or vehicle is seen, members the public are advised to call 911 immediately. Do not approach this individual.
The investigation by the OPP Renfrew County Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, is ongoing. The investigation is being assisted by the OPP Forensic Identification Unit and is being conducted in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services.
