Summers’ Fishing Derby helps St. Francis

A portion of the proceeds raised from the Summers’ Annual Fishing Derby were donated to the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation (SFVHF) recently. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the derby, with 41 teams enjoying a day on the Bonnechere River. Mike Summers says it has been a family organized event, one that the younger generation will be taking over.  The $2,000 donated will be earmarked for St. Francis Memorial Hospital (SFMH) for essential equipment needs.
