Renfrew County Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario are bringing health care services to all youth ages 12-25.  Anyone looking for in person health services should contact the Intake Coordinator. This free Health Services is open to area youths every Thursday at its Pembroke location (278 Nelson Street Street). More information is available on the website www.youthhubs.ca

REMINDER: MV Gardening Club AGM and Trivia Night

Madawaska Valley Gardening Club will hold its Annual General Meeting and its yearly Gardening Trivia Quiz on Thursday, Jan.18 at the Opeongo Seniors Centre, 19 Stafford St., Barry’s Bay. Social time begins at 7pm, the AGM will be held at 7:30 and then the trivia fun begins with Trivia Quiz Master Liz Woosey.

Renfrew County residents are supporting area hospitals with their fund-raising efforts to finance the purchase of essential hospital equipment. Results of the latest Catch The Ace progressive lottery winners are:

St.Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation: SFVHF announced that Doreen Burant of Killaloe has won the Week 11 prize of Catch the Ace draw, organized by the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation! Doreen purchased her ticket at Ultramar in Barry’s Bay and chose envelope number 30 because It’s her birthdate. That envelope revealed the Four of Hearts, earning her the great weekly prize of $1,084.00 which Doreen plans to save for a rainy day. The estimated weekly prize for Week #12 is $1,200 and if the Ace of Spades is found, the lucky winner will take home the estimated total prize of $19,512.00! Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation: PFH Foundation announced that

The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation is delighted to announce that Pattie Lawson was their Week #1 winner, presented by OK Tire Pembroke. Patti, who has been playing the PRH Catch The Ace lottery for two years, received $2,563 and card #11 revealed the Jack of Hearts after being selected through the online random generator. Renfrew County District School Board Trustee vacancy

The Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) is currently accepting applications from community members to fill a Board of Trustee vacancy for the current term.
