MV resident charged in voyeurism, child pornography investigation
Members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person after a recent investigation.
In February 2024, OPP began an investigation into a voyeurism case that occurred in Renfrew County. The Renfrew County Crime Unit assisted with the investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Madawaska Valley.
As a result, police arrested and charged a 49-year-old from Madawaska Valley Township with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Possession of child pornography;
- Makes, prints, publishes or possession for the purpose of publication of any child pornography;
- Voyeurism – three counts; and,
- Failure to comply with release order.
The accused was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 10, 2024. If anyone has information relevant to this investigation, please contact Killaloe OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

On June 4, 2024, just after 4:30 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the entry on Burnt Island, Paugh Lake, in the Township of Madawaska Valley.
Assorted tools and personal toiletry items were reported stolen.

Threats charges laid against BLR resident
One person has been arrested and charged with criminal threats.
On June 4, 2024, just before 3:30 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence on Palmer Road in theTownship of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan.
As a result of police investigation, 45-year-old Trevor RECOSKIE of Palmer Rapids has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
uttering threat – cause bodily harm (two counts).
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke on July 24, 2024.

Police seek information about garage entry
Police are investigating an entry into an industrial garage.
On June 6, 2024, just after 6:30 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Scotch Bush Road in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.
Several chainsaws, a generator and DeWalt tools were reported stolen.
