Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care is pleased to announce two bereavement retreat opportunities this fall for individuals who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner.
Following the success of our inaugural retreat last year, our Widows Retreat returns October 16–18 at Stevenson’s Lodge in Combermere. This three-day retreat offers widowed women an opportunity to connect with others who understand, participate in meaningful discussions, enjoy wellness activities, and spend time in a supportive and compassionate environment. We are also excited to introduce our first-ever Widowers Retreat, We Carry Them With Us, on October 15. This one-day retreat has been designed specifically for widowed men and will include opportunities for conversation, reflection, time on the water, shared meals, and connection with others navigating life after loss.
Losing a spouse changes every part of life. While every grief journey is unique, many people find comfort in connecting with others who truly understand the challenges of widowhood. Both retreats will be held at Stevenson’s Lodge in Combermere. Please share with family and friends!
