To the Residents of Madawaska Valley:
Our township is a place of unmatched natural beauty, deep rooted heritage, and resilient people. Over 10 years ago, my family chose to make this community our home. Watching my two children grow up and flourish here has deeply rooted me to this area and inspired me to step forward as a candidate for municipal council.
My approach to leadership is shaped by 27 years of military service, where I learned the absolute value of teamwork, discipline, and practical problem solving. Alongside that experience, I hold an education in finance and computers, tools that I believe are essential for modern, efficient municipal management.
I have applied these skills locally by building businesses within Madawaska Valley that have created stable jobs and provided spaces for our community to gather and enjoy their spare time. Being on the ground as a local employer has given me a direct understanding of what our economy needs to thrive.
Right now, our community faces a critical challenge that impacts everyone, a severe lack of long-term rental units and a very slow rate of residential growth. To truly flourish, our workforce, young families, and seniors need accessible places to live. If elected, I will collaborate closely with my fellow councillors, staff, and local stakeholders to actively pursue practical, affordable housing solutions that open doors for smart development while protecting our community’s character.
Securing our future also means building a resilient economy by actively and strategically welcoming outside investment. By cutting unnecessary red tape and modernizing our planning processes, we can attract value aligned investors who want to build housing and businesses here. This expands our tax base, creates jobs for our youth, and secures the funds needed to maintain our vital infrastructure.
I promise to bring financial oversight, technical practicality, and a collaborative spirit to the council table. I respectfully ask for your support to help build a forward-thinking Madawaska Valley that offers real economic opportunity and housing security while remaining the close knit community we all love.
