Renfrew County Open House The County hosts its annual Open House on Thursday Sept.17 from 3pm-6pm at Renfrew County Place – 450 O’Brien Road, Renfrew. This is in the Town of Renfrew on the north side between McDonald’s and Home Hardware.
Take Back The Night Participants will gather at Water Tower Park, 20 Woburn Street in Barry’s Bay on Thursday Sept.17 from 6:30pm (kick-off approximately 7:30pm) for the 33rd annual march organized by the Renfrew County Sexual Assault and Rape Crisis Support Centre (WSAC). The annual event symbolizes a reclaiming of public and rural space. It challenges the silence and isolation that often surround gender‑based violence in small communities and brings people together to stand with survivors. The march will be followed by a social gathering and light refreshments.
Countdown Moves On Saturday Sept.19 participants can walk between two communities with Countdown Public Art pebble mosaics which recognize and honour survivors of gender-based violence. UOVCC 2026 Business Excellence Gala On Sept.26 at the Normandy Officers’ Mess the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce holds its 2026 Business Excellence Gala. The event celebrates local businesses, nominated through a public process and judged based on the nomination submission details by Chamber Executives from outside the Ottawa Valley.
