The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 406 in Barry’s Bay, is hosting a presentation plus a question-and-answer period on fraud and scam awareness. The presentation will cover mass marketing fraud, romance and emergency scams, along with many other prevalent scams – and how to avoid them.
The presentation will take place on May 14, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion at 250 John Street in Barry’s Bay. This is a free event that is open to the general public and no pre-registration is required.
