Renfrew County Real Estate Board (RCREB) figures for January 2024 reveal the number of homes sold through the MLS® System of the RCREB totaled 72 units in January 2024. This was a substantial gain of 33.3 percent from January 2023.
Sale prices
While the average price of homes sold in January 2024 was $427,594, up modestly by 1.5 percent from January 2023, the dollar value of all home sales in January 2024 was $30.8 million, a jump of 35.4 percent from the same month in 2023.
Inventory
The addition of 116 new listings last month was 23.4 percent greater than in January 2023. At the end of the month, there were 280 active residential listings on the market, a gain of 26.7 percent from the end of January 2023. The number of active listings was 20.7 percent above the five-year average and 42.8 percent below the 10-year average for the month of January.
